About Passport to Democracy: Education and community engagement

Passport to Democracy (PTD) is a free educational resource run by the VEC to encourage and empower young people, from 10-29 years of age, to find their voice in our democracy.

We also offer materials which can be used by teachers to support young people in their understanding of civics.

As well as exploring the processes of enrolment and voting in Australia, the PTD resources provide a framework to help young people identify issues they are passionate about and to understand how they might create positive change. This process demonstrates to young people how they, as active citizens, can take part in our democracy.

Visit the Passport to Democracy website to learn more about the program.
