Stand Up, Be Heard: Youth advocacy in action
The Y is excited to launch a new way for young people to get involved in advocacy, and invite them to attend our new event, Stand Up, Be Heard: Youth Advocacy in Action, made for young people, by young people, wanting to make a difference.
Virtual event information: March 18, 2021 05:30 PM via Zoom
Advocacy is taking an action (any action!) that supports, defends, or argues for a cause on behalf of other people (and sometimes yourself). How can you advocate for issues that you are passionate about? How are other young people using their voices to advocate around the world? Join our young people as they take you through how you can use advocacy to engage with a community of like-minded young people and make change in the world.
Learn more about how you can amplify your voice and be heard, from some amazing young people who are already doing it. Find out more about what Advocacy is, and learn from some of the YMCA’s partners about how they can help your voice to be heard loud and clear.
Find out what other young people are talking about. Read, watch and hear the voices of young people, and get inspired to join the conversation too.
